Hi, my name is Lesley and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. As a clinical social worker, I’ve supported the needs of individuals living with serious mental health conditions and neurodiverse profiles (autism, ADHD, Asperger’s, and other learning differences) for the last decade. I currently offer individual therapy to adults treating depression, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, relationship issues, and women’s issues.
My goal is to provide a safe and trusting environment where you feel understood. My approach to therapy is centered around identifying your needs, honoring your feelings, and building on your strengths.
I believe in a person-centered, strengths-based approach and can pull from a variety of interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solutions-focused or psychodynamic theories to support you in your healing and empower you to live authentically. I strive to meet you where you are so that you can connect with your individualized patchwork toward wellness.
Before becoming a therapist, I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire. I received my master’s degree in social work from Boston University in 2015 and practiced social work in the state of Massachusetts before moving back to the seacoast in 2020. I have been licensed for independent practice in the state of New Hampshire since 2022.
